About Brentwood, Missouri

Brentwood used to be known as Maddenville, until 1919 when the residents decided to incorporate Maddenville into a village and it officially became Brentwood. Maddenville was named after Thomas Madden a popular businessman in the community. During the late 1920’s, Brentwood was known for its gambling houses, until they were eliminated in the 1930’s.
