About the Company
Who is Hoffmann Brothers?
We’re a family-owned home service company founded in St. Louis in 1988. We started as a heating and cooling company and grew into a full-service operation covering HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drain, sewer, and appliance repair. Today we serve homeowners and businesses across the greater St. Louis area and Middle Tennessee.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes. We carry full licensing, bonding, and insurance in every market and municipality we serve. Our technicians are background checked and drug tested before they ever step into your home.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Every technician who shows up at your door is a Hoffmann Brothers employee wearing our uniform and driving our truck. That’s how we control quality and stand behind our work.
What areas do you serve?
Greater St. Louis, including St. Louis City and County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County, and Metro East Illinois. In Tennessee, we serve Nashville and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities. If you’re not sure whether you’re in our area, give us a call.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. We serve residential customers, property managers, multifamily buildings, restaurants, and commercial facilities. Commercial work runs through a dedicated team.
Scheduling and What to Expect
How quickly can you get someone out?
For most service calls we offer same day or next-day appointments depending on availability and season. Emergency calls take priority. Home Protection Plan members get front of the line scheduling.
Do you offer emergency service?
Yes, based on availability and the nature of the emergency. We run emergency service Monday through Saturday and are closed on Sundays. Emergency service is available to both members and non-members.
Do you charge a fee just to come out?
We charge a service fee to send a licensed technician out, evaluate the problem, and give you a firm price before any work starts.
Will I get a price before work begins?
Yes. We use upfront flat rate pricing. Your technician diagnoses the issue, walks you through your options, and gives you the total price in writing. You approve it before anything happens. No hourly meter running, no surprise invoice at the end.
Will I know when the technician is coming?
Yes. You’ll get an appointment window when you book, plus a text or email with your technician’s name and photo when they’re on the way.
What should I do before the technician arrives?
Clear a path to the equipment, secure pets, and if you can, note what the problem is doing and when it started. If you’ve had recent work done on the system, have that information handy.
Pricing, Payment, and Financing
How do you price your work?
Flat rate by the job, not by the hour. You see the price before we start. That means a job that takes longer than expected doesn’t cost you more.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer flexible financing on qualifying repairs and installations, with options that include low monthly payments and promotional terms. Applications take a few minutes and can be completed before or during your appointment. Visit our Financing page to find out more information.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, credit card, and financing.
Do you offer free estimates?
Estimates on new equipment installation and replacement are free. Repair/service visits on an existing system carry a fee, because that’s a licensed technician’s time spent troubleshooting.
Guarantees and Warranties
What guarantees do you offer?
We back our work with several guarantees, including a comfort guarantee and our Total Service Guarantee. To learn more about all of the guarantees that we offer at Hoffmann Brothers, please visit Our Guarantees.
What if I’m not happy with the work?
Call us. We always want 100% satisfaction guaranteed. We will do everything we can to make it right.
Do you warranty your repairs?
Yes. Repairs carry a workmanship warranty, and new equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty on top of ours. Your technician will explain the specific coverage for your job.
Do you honor manufacturer warranties on equipment you didn’t install?
Yes, we can potentially cover part warranties, but labor would not be included. Your field professional will explain the different options available based on the warranty specifications for your equipment.
Membership
What is the Home Protection Plan?
The Home Protection Plan is the membership to peace of mind to cover your whole home. Depending on the plan you choose, it covers annual or twice yearly HVAC tune ups, plumbing and electrical inspections, humidifier service, filters, priority scheduling, and discounted repairs. Please visit the Home Protection Plan page to learn more about the membership that we offer. One call covers your whole home instead of juggling separate companies.
Is a maintenance plan actually worth it?
For most homeowners, yes. Regular maintenance catches small problems before they become weekend emergencies, keeps manufacturer warranties valid, and extends equipment life. The priority scheduling alone matters when it’s 100 degrees in July and everyone is calling at once.
Can I customize my plan?
Yes. Plans can be built around the systems you actually have & the budget that fits your family. To see all options available for our memberships, please visit the Home Protection Plan page.
How do I renew or manage my membership?
Please give us a call or contact us here. Our membership team is happy to help however we can, please feel free to email them at [email protected] or call them directly at 314-880-7409 for any questions, renewals or payment updates.
One Company, Every Trade
Can one company really handle heating, plumbing, electrical, and appliances?
That’s the point. Most homes have problems that cross trades. A water heater issue can be plumbing, gas, or electrical. When one company owns all of it, you’re not coordinating three contractors and hearing three different stories about whose problem it is.
If I have you out for one thing, will you look at something else while you’re here?
Ask your field professional. If it’s within their trade and they have time, they’ll take a look. If it’s a different trade, they’ll get it scheduled for you before they leave.
